Founded in 1912, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), headquartered in Bethesda, MD, is the leading resource for foot and ankle health information. Currently, the organization represents a vast majority of the estimated 18,000 podiatrists in the country. In addition to the national headquarters, APMA boasts 53 state component locations throughout the United States and its territories, as well as affiliated societies.

The American Society for Surgery of the Hand was founded in 1946 to facilitate the exchange of information related to problems of the hand. It is the oldest and largest medical specialty society in the United States devoted to the care of the hand.

Breast Cancer Coordinated Care Conference will offer presentations and panel discussions on a number of currently important topics in the local treatment of breast cancer including oncoplastic surgery and the role of prophylactic mastectomy. Experts in the field will cover the state of partial breast irradiation, intraoperative radiation therapy, timing and indications for post-mastectomy radiation, and neoadjuvant chemotherapy and its role in restaging breast cancer.

Every year Synovis MCA is a proud sponsor and participant of BRA Day.The initial concept, conceived by Canadian plastic surgeon Mitchell Brown, MD, in 2011, focused on a single day that is recognized annually on the third Wednesday in October. Dr. Brown advocated for a multi-specialist team approach for all breast cancer patients that included gynecologists, radiologists, plastic surgeons, breast surgeons and medical oncologists, who were all to be consulted to ensure breast cancer patients were aware of their options following mastectomy. Critical to the comprehensive care of every breast cancer patient, this approach ensured her medical needs were assessed by a team of specialists from a variety of medical specialties, rather than from one clinical scope.

The London Breast Meeting  is a focus on Breast Practice in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery, with Faculty from all over the world providing their expertise, tips, and tricks on surgical techniques.

The need for a high standard European Society of Plastic Surgery was the main reason for a group of Plastic Surgeons, inspired by Daniel Marchac, to constitute an Association with the aim of promoting the excellence of Plastic Surgery in Europe, furnishing an annual Forum for a selection of the best scientific works presented at National Societies, stimulating research and investigation at European level, as well coordinating various forms of teaching.

The first ever International Course on Perforator Flaps (ICPF) was organized in Gent, Belgium, 20 years ago in 1997, when perforator flap surgery was still in its pioneering phase. Perforator flap surgery was described as extravagant and exceptional in those days but it has now become the mainstream reconstructive technique for restoring defects throughout the body. What started as a small meeting among friends, has grown into a major international forum where colleagues share their new ideas in the field of perforator flap surgery.

The EPSRC is a non-profit organization managed by and for the benefit of the young plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery research community. The EPSRC meeting provides high quality interactions on evidence-based studies, translational research in all disciplines of plastic and reconstructive surgery, and related fields. Distinguished faculty from all over the world come to this meeting as keynote speakers, moderators, and faculty members at their own expense to encourage young researchers. The small size and informal, interactive format uniquely distinguish this meeting as a means of disseminating information and ideas in a way that cannot be achieved through more conventional channels, such as publications and presentations at large scientific meetings.
